सफर नामा - 27

        पानीपत (हरियाणा- इंडिया) में  हम भी एक विद्यालय *हाली अपना स्कूल* से जुड़े हैं तो हरदम यह इच्छा रहती है कि हम जहां भी जाएं वहां के किसी स्कूल जाकर वहां की न केवल जानकारी हासिल करे वहीं उनकी शिक्षा पद्धति, शिक्षको की शिक्षा ,अनुभव एवम प्रशिक्षण तथा विद्यार्थियों की पृष्ठ भूमि को भी जानने की कोशिश करें ताकि इस विश्व परिपेक्ष्य को अपने देश तथा विशेषकर अपने हाली अपना स्कूल में चरितार्थ कर सकें । बेशक हमारे साधन काफी सीमित है और हम अभाव ग्रस्त स्थितियों में इसका संचालन कर रहे हैं ,परंतु सपने लेने से तो कोई नही रोक सकता । हमारा विजन व्यापक है इसलिए इसे लागू करने का प्रयास भी कर सकते हैं ।

     अपनी नीदरलैंड यात्रा के दौरान आज एमेस्ट्रडम के एक मिडिल स्कूल " Timotheus School, Amsterdam ओ पी स्कूल" में विजिट करने का सुअवसर मिला । इसके लिए हमें एक सप्ताह पूर्व वहां की डायरेक्टर से मिल कर अपॉइंटमेंट लेनी पड़ी और फिर नियत समयानुसार अनुसार आज प्रात 10 बजे मैं और मेरी पत्नी कृष्णा कांता वहां पहुंचे । इस देश की बड़ी खासियत यह भी है कि समय का ख्याल रखना पड़ता है ।

     स्कूल में प्रवेश करते ही हमने पाया कि हमारा इंतजार ही हो रहा था । हम डायरेक्टर के कमरे में बैठे और तभी घड़ी की सुई के दस पर पहुंचते ही डायरेक्टर महोदया श्रीमती Hilde Stunge ने प्रवेश किया और फिर बातचीत शुरू हुई । उन्होंने हमारी इस विजिट को तीन भागों में रखा । एक - उनके द्वारा स्कूल की जानकारी, दो - स्कूल की पूरी बिल्डिंग और कक्षाओं की विजिट तथा तीसरा - हमारे प्रश्नों के उत्तर ।

     स्कूल की डायरेक्टर बहुत ही हसमुख, आकर्षक और ज्ञानवान युवती थी । उन्होंने बहुत ही प्रभावी ढंग से अपने स्कूल की जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि यह स्कूल गवर्मेंट द्वारा संचालित है तथा इसमें नीदरलैंड में बस रहे अनेक देशों के माता - पिता के 500 बच्चे पढ़ रहे है । स्कूल में चार वर्ष से बारह साल तक के बच्चे है जो आठ भागों में बंटे है । यह विभाजन उनकी योग्यता ,इच्छा तथा प्रतिभा के आधार पर है । स्कूल तीन मंजिला है जिसके प्रत्येक भाग में एक सभागार ,साइंस, आर्ट , संगीत और नृत्य और अन्य शिक्षण कक्षाएं है जो एक दूसरे से जुड़ी हैं और इनके बीच में एक हॉल है जहां प्रात: कालीन असेंबली होती है जहां गीत संगीत और पूरे दिन की सूचनाएं दी जाती है। कक्षाओं के साथ ही एक प्ले ग्राउंड है जहां हमने पाया कि बच्चे खेल रहे थे । दूसरी मंजिल तथा तीसरी मंजिल पर भी इसी तरह की व्यवस्था थी ।

    कक्षाएं  भी तमाम तरह के आधुनिक तकनीक से युक्त थे जिन्हें हमारे देश में स्मार्ट क्लासेज कहा जाता है । इन सभी कार्यों को बाल शिक्षा में निपुण तथा अनुभवी शिक्षक पढ़ा रहे थे । हमने इन क्लास रूम में अंदर जाकर भी बच्चों तथा टीचर्स  से मुलाकात की परंतु यहां इनकी तस्वीर लेने की सख्त मनाही है इसलिए सिर्फ खाली कमरों के ही चित्र ले पाए ।

      स्कूल का पूरा पढ़ाई का सिस्टम fun and Play पर आधारित है । जब मैंने पूछा कि क्या आपके यहां भी होम वर्क , कई किताबो और बस्ते का बोझ तथा घरों में ट्यूशन पढ़ाने का व्यवहार है तो उन्हें मेरी यह बाते बिलकुल ही अनजान लगी और उनका कहना था कि बच्चों को स्वाधीन बनाना चाहिए इस तरह की प्रतियोगिता और बोझ उन्हें कमजोर और  अवसाद ग्रस्त बनाएंगे। उनका कहना था कि बच्चों को श्रम, तकनीक तथा पर्यावरण संरक्षण की जानकारी होनी चाहिए ताकि वे एक अच्छे विश्व नागरिक बन सकें । घर के सुसंस्कृत वातावरण जैसा कोई स्कूल नहीं हो सकता और आदर्श माता पिता जैसे कोई शिक्षक । ऐसा ही माहौल स्कूलों में भी मिलना चाहिए ताकि बच्चों का स्कूल के प्रति मोह बने न की डर ।

    मुझे यह देख कर बेहद प्रसन्नता हुई कि स्कूल के सभी विद्यार्थी अपनी मनपसंद ड्रेस में थे , न की किसी बकवास किस्म की यूनिफॉर्म में । और हां ,बच्चों को पुस्तकें तथा अन्य स्टेशनरी भी यहीं से मिलती हैं । दोपहर के भोजन तक स्कूल की छुट्टी हो जाती है ।

      वैसे तो इस विजिट के दौरान  ही शंका समाधान होता रहा था फिर भी मेरी पत्नी के जिज्ञासा पर उनका कहना था कि खेल, अन्य एक्टिविटीज , दूसरे स्थानों पर घूमना शिक्षा के प्रमुख अंग है । हाली अपना स्कूल के कार्यों तथा व्यवस्था की जानकारी प्राप्त कर भी उन्होंने अपनी प्रसन्नता का इज़हार किया और स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों एवम स्टाफ के प्रति अपनी शुभकामनाएं प्रेषित की ।

     मैने प्रस्ताव किया कि उनके स्कूल और हमारे स्कूल के बीच एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम आयोजित किया जा सकता है जिस पर उनकी सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया थी । उनका कहना था कि इंडिया बहुत दूर है । मेरे इस कथन पर वे जोर से हंसी कि दुनियां अब बहुत ही छोटी है ।

    अंत में गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली और निर्मला  देशपांडे संस्थान, पानीपत में चल रहे हाली अपना स्कूल की ओर से मैंने एक अपने शहर की चादर , महात्मा गांधी के talisman का एक फ्रेम , गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली का bedge देकर सम्मानित किया ।

During my Netherlands visit today, I got the opportunity to visit a middle school in Amsterdam, "Timotheus School, Amsterdam OP School". For this, we had to take an appointment with the director a week ago and then as per the scheduled time, my wife Krishna Kanta and I reached there today at 10 am. Another great feature of this country is that one has to take care of time.

As soon as we entered the school, we found that we were being waited for. We sat in the director's room and as soon as the clock struck ten, the director, Mrs. Hilde Stunge, entered and then the conversation began. She divided our visit into three parts. One - information about the school by her, two - visit of the entire school building and classrooms and third - answers to our questions.

    The director of the school was a very cheerful, attractive and knowledgeable woman. She gave information about her school in a very impressive manner and told that this school is run by the government and 500 children of parents from many countries living in the Netherlands are studying here. The school has children from four to twelve years of age who are divided into eight sections. This division is based on their ability, desire and talent. The school is three storeyed, each section of which has an auditorium, science, art, music and dance and other teaching classes which are connected to each other and in between them there is a hall where the morning assembly takes place where songs, music and information about the whole day is given. Along with the classes there is a play ground where we found that the children were playing. There was a similar arrangement on the second floor and the third floor as well.

    The classrooms were also equipped with all kinds of modern technology which are called smart classes in our country. All these classes were being taught by teachers who were skilled and experienced in child education. We went inside these classrooms and met the children and teachers but taking pictures is strictly prohibited here, so we could only take pictures of the empty rooms.

    The entire study system of the school is based on fun and play. When I asked them whether they also have the practice of homework, burden of many books and bags, and tuitions at home, they found these words of mine completely unfamiliar and said that children should be made independent, such competition and burden will make them weak and depressed. They said that children must be aware of labour, technology and environmental protection so that they can become good world citizens. No school can be like the cultured environment of home and teachers like ideal parents. Similar environment should be found in schools also so that children develop an attachment towards school and not fear of it.

[5/29, 11:20 AM] Ram Mohan Rai: I was very happy to see that all the students of the school were in their favorite dress and not in any rubbish uniform. And yes, children get books and other stationery from here. School closes by lunch time.

    Though the doubts were cleared during this visit itself, yet on my wife's curiosity, he said that sports, other activities, visiting other places are important parts of education. Recently, on getting information about the work and arrangements of his school, he expressed his happiness and sent his best wishes to the students and staff of the school.

    We proposed that an exchange program could be organized between their school and our school, to which they responded positively. She said that India is very far away. She laughed out loud at my statement that the world is very small now.

  Finally, on behalf of Gandhi Global Family and Nirmala Deshpande Institute, Hali Apna School running in Panipat, we honored her by giving a sheet of my city, a frame of Mahatma Gandhi's talisman, a bedge of Gandhi Global Family.
