Morgana Sythove से मुलाकात
Morgana Sythove नीदरलैंड्स की एक शीर्ष सामाजिक नेत्री है. वे United Religions Initiative की Global Trustee, URI, Netherlands की महासचिव तथा Pagan Federation International की भी coordinator हैं. पूर्व निर्धारित कार्यक्रम के अनुसार आज UTRECHT, Netherlands में मुलाकात हुई और पूरे दिन ही देश विदेश में शांति आंदोलन, पर्यावरण संरक्षण और उनके संगठनों की Gandhi Global Family से तालमेल तथा साथ मिल कर काम करने पर विस्तृत चर्चा की. हमारे आग्रह पर उन्होंने Gandhi Global Family की international Advisory Council में बतौर सदस्य रह कर काम करना स्वीकार किया.
Gandhi Global Family मे उनका हार्दिक स्वागत तथा अभिनन्दन!
उनसे मेरी पहली मुलाकात पिछले दिनों दिल्ली मे हमारे भांजे, बहन रीमा के पुत्र के विवाह समारोह में हुई थी. इस कार्यक्रम में वे विशेष रूप से पधारी थी. इसके अतिरिक्त भी उनकी व्यस्तता थी अपने संगठन URI को लेकर. वे केरल सहित हमारे देश के अनेक प्रांतों मे गई. वे नीदरलैंड्स से आई है तो उनके इस परिचय ने मुझे उनके प्रति आकर्षित किया था. उस समय भी मैंने उन्हें गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली और उसके बारे मे जानकारी दी थी. वे इस बात से अति उत्साही थी कि नीदरलैंड्स में उनके शहर Utrecht (ऊत्रेकत ) में विश्व वंदनीय महात्मा गांधी की एक विशाल प्रतिमा स्थापित है.
अब नीदरलैंड्स आने पर मैंने उनसे मिलने का वक्त चाहा और अपना उद्देश्य भी बताया अतः उसी आधार पर आज 3 जुलाई को हमारी मीटिंग Utrecht में ही तय हुई.
हम लगभग दोपहर बाद लगभग 1.20 बजे रेल्वे स्टेशन के तयशुदा स्थान पर पहुंचे तो देखा कि वे हमारे स्वागत में पहले से ही मौजूद है. गले लगा कर उन्होंने हमारा इस तरह स्वागत किया मानों एक बड़ी बहन बरसों बाद अपने भाई-भाभी से मिल रही हो. उन्होंने बताया कि सांगठनिक विषयों पर चर्चा करने के साथ-साथ, वे हमें नगर भ्रमण भी करवाना चाहेंगी ताकि हम इसकी सैंकड़ों वर्षो की एतिहासिक विरासत को समझ सकें. और फिर एक कुशल गाइड की तरह हमारा मार्गदर्शन करते हुए उन्होंने हमें पूरा बाजार, नए बने मॉल, नहरों के दोनों तरफ बनी खूबसूरत इमारतों, शिक्षा संस्थानों, म्युजियम और cathedrals को भी दिखाया. उनका कहना था कि उनके अकेले शहर में तीन cathedrals हैं और यह catholic ईसाई धर्म का एक प्रमुख केंद्र है.

दोपहर का भोजन हमने UTRECHT के एक अति प्राचीनतम रेस्तरां Rinkle and Winkle मे किया और यहीं लगभग डेढ़ घंटे तक सांगठनिक विषयों पर गम्भीर चर्चा हुई. पूरी दुनियां में, वे ग्लोबल वार्मिंग को लेकर जलवायु परिवर्तन और उसके मौसम तथा पर्यावरण के बढ़ते प्रभाव से काफ़ी चिंतित नजर आई और उनका मानना था कि इसे बचाने में सभी को अहिंसात्मक कार्य करने की योजना बनानी चाहिए ताकि हम भविष्य को एक अच्छी और नई दुनियां दे सकें. सब तरफ पैसा कमाने और ऐश्वर्य से जीने की होड़ है पर क्या कोई दूषित पानी, जल और जंगल के साथ इसे जी पाएगा. यह कोई राजनीतिक दलों का काम नहीं है क्योंकि यह उनकी वरीयता नहीं है. इस काम को देश - दुनियां की दीवारों से हट कर काम करने की जरूरत है. वे महात्मा गांधी के इस विचार से सहमत थी कि प्रकृति मनुष्य की जरूरत तो पूरी कर सकती है, पर लालच नहीं. चर्चा का एक बिन्दु गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली के कार्यों का विस्तार भी रहा. उन्हें इस बात की प्रसन्नता हुई कि GGF न केवल भारत अपितु अनेक देशों में महात्मा गांधी के सत्य और अहिंसा के सिद्धांत का प्रचार-प्रसार कर रहा है. उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने गांधी जी के बारे में अपने परिवार के बुजुर्गों से सुना है और यह भी कि किस प्रकार वे मैनचेस्टर आए थे. उनका जन्म ब्रिटेन में हुआ और फिर लगभग 50 वर्ष पूर्व वे हॉलैंड आई. मैंने उनसे Gandhi Global Family से जुड़ने और इसकी international Advisory Council का सदस्यता स्वीकर करने का अनुरोध किया जिसे उन्होंने सहर्ष स्वीकर कर लिया. हमारे पास उनकों भेंट करने के लिए सबसे बेशकीमती तोहफ़ा महात्मा गांधी की आत्मकथा और भारतीय ध्वज का प्रतीक ही था. उस भेंट के साथ अपनी एक पुस्तक "सुहाना सफ़र - नीदरलैंड्स" की एक प्रति भेंट की और उन्होंने भी हमें Holland के वाल्मीर से सुसज्जित एक सुन्दर ट्रे भेंट की.
समय जल्दी जल्दी निकले जा रहा था. हम तो थोड़ा थकावट महसूस करने लगे थे पर यह चिर युवा अभी भी ऊर्जावान और उत्साहित थी. अब शान 6 बजने को आए थे और विदा लेने का समय था. वे न हमें स्टेशन तक छोड़ने आई अपितु प्लेट फार्म का नंबर और गाड़ी का पूरा समय बता कर गई.
उनसे आज की मुलाक़ात बहुत ही सार्थक और स्नेहिल रही. जिसके लिए Morgana Sythove का बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद.

Meeting with Morgana Sythove in UTRECT, 3rd July 2024
Morgana Sythove is a pioneer social activist of the Netherlands. She is currently the Global
Trustee of United Religions Initiative, Multiregion, Secretary of URI,Netherlands and also the
coordinator of Pagan Federation International.
As per the pre-scheduled programme, we met today in Utrecht, Netherlands and throughout the
day we had detailed discussions on peace movement in India and abroad, environmental
protection and coordination and working together with her organisations with Gandhi Global
Family. On our request, she accepted to work as a member in the international Advisory Council
of Gandhi Global Family.
We met her for the first time recently in Delhi at the wedding of my niece, sister Reema's
daughter. Morgana had specially come to Delhi for this event. Apart from this, she was also
busy with her organization URI & PFI. She visited many states of our country including Kerala &
Assam. She came from Netherlands, so this introduction of hers attracted me towards her. At
that time also I had given her information about Gandhi Global Family. She was very excited
about the fact that a huge statue of the world-renowned Mahatma Gandhi is installed in her city
Utrecht in Netherlands.
Now on coming to Netherlands, I sought time to meet her and also told her my purpose, so on
that basis our meeting was fixed today on 3rd July in Utrecht.
When we reached the decided place at the railway station around 1.20 in the afternoon, we
saw that she was already there to welcome us. She welcomed us with a hug as if an elder sister
was meeting her brother and sister-in-law after many years. She told us that apart from
discussing organizational matters, she would also like to take us on a city tour so that we can
understand its historical heritage of hundreds of years. And then guiding us like an expert guide,
she showed us the entire market, newly built malls, beautiful buildings built on both sides of the
canals, educational institutions, museums and cathedrals. She said that there are three
cathedrals in her city alone and it is a major historical center of Christianity.
We had lunch at ‘Winkel van Sinkel’, one of the oldest commercial establishments in UTRECHT,
and for about an hour and a half, we had a serious discussion on organizational issues. She
seemed very concerned about the climate change and its increasing impact on the weather and
environment due to global warming all over the world and believed that everyone should plan to
do non-violent work to save it so that we can give a good and new world to the future. There is a
race to earn money and live a luxurious life everywhere, but will anyone be able to live it with
polluted water, water and forests. This is not the work of political parties because it is not their
priority. This work needs to be done beyond the walls of the country and the world. She agreed
with Mahatma Gandhi's idea that nature can fulfill man's needs, but not greed. One point of
discussion was also the expansion of the work of Gandhi Global Family. She was happy to
know that GGF is propagating Mahatma Gandhi's principles of truth and non-violence not only in
India but in many countries. She said that she had heard about Gandhiji from her family elders
in England, where she was born. She remembers hearing about how he had come to
Manchester.
I requested her to join Gandhi Global Family and accept membership of its international
Advisory Council, which she gladly accepted. The most precious gift we had to present to her
was Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography and the symbol of the Indian flag. Along with that gift, I
presented a copy of one of my books "Suhana Safar - Netherlands" and she also presented us
a beautiful tray decorated with Holland's famous windmills.
Time was passing by quickly. We were beginning to feel a little tired but this eternal youth was
still energetic and enthusiastic. Now it was almost 6 o'clock and it was time to leave. She not
only came to drop us at the station but also told us the platform number and train timings.
Today's meeting with her was very meaningful and affectionate. For which many thanks to
Morgana Sythove.

Morgana Sythove is Anglo/Dutch and lives in the Netherlands. She is a
practising pagan and is a Wiccan Priestess. As International Coordinator, and
Chairperson, for PFI/Pagan Federation International, she travels extensively
giving talks and workshops about Wicca and Paganism and leads Interfaith
dialogue.
She is also a board member of URI Netherlands, ENORB and a URI Global
Trustee Multiregion.
She represented PFI & URI at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in 2004/
Barcelona, 2015/ Salt Lake City, 2018 Toronto, Virtual 2021, and Chicago 2023
Her passion is to protect and defend ‘the Living Environment’ in all its diversity and manifestations.
