आज, 28 अप्रैल 2025 को, मुझे नीदरलैंड्स के लेलीस्टैड में स्थित बटाविया स्टैड फैशन आउटलेट और बटाविया हेवन की यात्रा करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ। यह यात्रा न केवल एक खरीदारी और पर्यटन का अनुभव थी, बल्कि इतिहास, प्रकृति, और आधुनिकता के अनूठे संगम का साक्षात्कार भी थी। नीदरलैंड्स के इस खूबसूरत कोने ने मुझे अपनी विविधता और आकर्षण से मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। इस लेख में, मैं अपनी इस यात्रा का विस्तृत वर्णन हिन्दी में प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ, ताकि आप भी इस अनुभव का हिस्सा बन सकें।

    लेलीस्टैड की ओर

मेरी यात्रा की शुरुआत एम्स्टर्डम से हुई, जो लेलीस्टैड से लगभग 45 मिनट की दूरी पर है। मैंने एम्स्टर्डम सेंट्रल स्टेशन से ट्रेन ली, जो मुझे लेलीस्टैड सेंट्रम स्टेशन तक ले गई। नीदरलैंड्स की ट्रेनें अपनी समयबद्धता और सुविधा के लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं, और यह सफर भी अपवाद नहीं था। खिड़की से बाहर देखते हुए, मैंने फ्लेवोलैंड प्रांत की सपाट और हरी-भरी भूमि को निहारा, जो समुद्र से पुनर्जनन (रेक्लेमेशन) द्वारा बनाई गई है। यह विचार ही अपने आप में रोमांचक था कि मैं ऐसी भूमि की ओर जा रहा हूँ, जो कभी ज़ुइडरज़ी (Zuiderzee) समुद्र का हिस्सा थी।

   लेलीस्टैड सेंट्रम स्टेशन पहुँचने के बाद, मैंने बस नंबर 3 ली, जो मुझे सीधे बटाविया स्टैड तक ले गई। बस का सफर छोटा और आरामदायक था, और जल्द ही मैं बटाविया स्टैड के प्रवेश द्वार पर खड़ा था।

   बटाविया स्टैड फैशन आउटलेट नीदरलैंड्स का पहला फैशन आउटलेट है, जो 2001 में स्थापित हुआ। यह मार्करमीर झील के किनारे, फ्लेवोपोल्डर में स्थित है। जैसे ही मैंने आउटलेट में प्रवेश किया, मुझे इसकी खुली और आकर्षक संरचना ने प्रभावित किया। यहाँ की गलियाँ और दुकानें पारंपरिक डच वास्तुकला से प्रेरित हैं, जो इसे एक छोटे से यूरोपीय गाँव जैसा आभास देती हैं।

     आउटलेट में 250 से अधिक राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय ब्रांड्स की दुकानें हैं, जहाँ 30% से 70% तक की छूट मिलती है।  यहाँ की दुकानें न केवल फैशन बल्कि गहनों, रसोई के सामान, और अन्य जीवनशैली उत्पादों के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध हैं। खरीदारी के बीच, मैंने ला प्लेस रेस्तरां में रुककर कॉफी और एक स्वादिष्ट डच पेस्ट्री का आनंद लिया। इस रेस्तरां की खासियत यह थी कि यहाँ से मार्करमीर झील और वीओसी (डच ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी) के जहाज़ बटाविया का मनोरम दृश्य दिखाई देता था। 

     बटाविया स्टैड के ठीक बगल में स्थित है बटाविया हेवन, जो नीदरलैंड्स की सबसे नई और आधुनिक बंदरगाहों में से एक है। यह बंदरगाह मार्करमीर और आइज्सेलमीर झीलों के संगम पर स्थित है, और इसका स्थान इसे नौकायन और जल क्रीड़ा प्रेमियों के लिए आदर्श बनाता है। मैंने बंदरगाह के किनारे टहलते हुए यहाँ की शांति और सुंदरता का आनंद लिया।

       बटाविया हेवन अपनी आधुनिक सुविधाओं के लिए जाना जाता है, जैसे बिजली और पानी की आपूर्ति, स्वच्छ शौचालय, और वॉशिंग मशीन। यहाँ नौकाओं के लिए विशाल और आरामदायक बर्थ उपलब्ध हैं, और यह चार्टर जहाज़ों के लिए भी एक लोकप्रिय गंतव्य है। मुझे यह जानकर आश्चर्य हुआ कि यह बंदरगाह हर साल हजारों यात्रियों के साथ सैकड़ों नदी क्रूज़ जहाज़ों का स्वागत करता है।

    बंदरगाह के आसपास कई रेस्तरां और कैफे हैं, जिनमें से मैंने टीआर3एस तापस बार में कुछ समय बिताया। यहाँ मैंने विविध प्रकार कीआइसक्रीम काआनंद लिया, जबकि सामने फैली झील का दृश्य मेरे मन को सुकून दे रहा था। बंदरगाह का माहौल जीवंत और स्वागत करने वाला था, और यहाँ की हवा में एक ताज़गी थी जो शहरी जीवन से एक सुखद राहत प्रदान करती थी।

            इतिहास और प्रकृति का संगम

बटाविया हेवन और बटाविया स्टैड के आसपास कई अन्य आकर्षण हैं, जिनमें से कुछ का मैंने दौरा किया। सबसे पहले, मैं बटावियालैंड म्यूज़ियम गया, जो डच समुद्री इतिहास और ज़ुइडरज़ी के पुनर्जनन की कहानी को जीवंत करता है। यहाँ मैंने 17वीं सदी के वीओसी जहाज़ बटाविया की प्रतिकृति देखी, जो 1628 में अपनी पहली यात्रा के दौरान डूब गया था। जहाज़ के अंदर घूमते हुए, मैंने उस युग की कठिनाइयों और नाविकों के जीवन को करीब से महसूस किया। म्यूज़ियम में प्रदर्शित 7,000 साल पुरानी वस्तुएँ और इंटरैक्टिव प्रदर्शन मेरे लिए ज्ञानवर्धक रहे।

    इसके बाद, मैंने पास ही स्थित ओस्टवॉर्डर्सप्लासेन प्रकृति संरक्षण क्षेत्र की ओर रुख किया। यह यूरोप का सबसे बड़ा वेटलैंड क्षेत्र है, जहाँ बाइसन, जंगली घोड़े, और विभिन्न पक्षी प्रजातियाँ अपने प्राकृतिक आवास में देखे जा सकते हैं।  हरे-भरे परिदृश्य और शांत वातावरण ने मेरे मन को तरोताज़ा कर दिया।

    बटाविया हेवन और बटाविया स्टैड का नाम डच ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी की राजधानी बटाविया (वर्तमान जकार्ता, इंडोनेशिया) से प्रेरित है। यह क्षेत्र नीदरलैंड्स के समुद्री इतिहास और व्यापारिक वैभव का प्रतीक है। मुझे यह जानकर आश्चर्य हुआ कि लेलीस्टैड स्वयं एक नियोजित शहर है, जो 1967 में स्थापित हुआ और समुद्र से पुनर्जनन की गई भूमि पर बसा है। यहाँ की हर चीज़, सड़कों से लेकर बंदरगाह तक, मानव की इंजीनियरिंग और प्रकृति के साथ सामंजस्य का उदाहरण है।

    बटाविया हेवन में हर साल होने वाला हिसवा ते वाटर (Hiswa te Water) जल क्रीड़ा मेला भी एक प्रमुख आकर्षण है। हालाँकि मैं इस मेले के दौरान यहाँ नहीं था, लेकिन स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि 2025 में इसका 40वाँ संस्करण आयोजित होगा, जिसमें 400 से अधिक नौकाएँ प्रदर्शित की जाएँगी।

   दिन के अंत में, मैंने बटाविया स्टैड में कुछ और समय बिताया, जहाँ मैंने स्मृति चिन्ह के रूप में एक डच शैली का सिरेमिक मग खरीदा। सूर्यास्त के समय मार्करमीर झील का दृश्य देखना मेरी यात्रा का सबसे यादगार पल था। झील की सतह पर सूरज की किरणें चमक रही थीं, और दूर क्षितिज पर बटाविया जहाज़ की छाया एक ऐतिहासिक कहानी कह रही थी।

मैंने बस से लेलीस्टैड सेंट्रम स्टेशन और फिर ट्रेन से एल्मर वापस लौटने का फैसला किया। रास्ते में, मैंने अपनी इस यात्रा के अनुभवों को याद किया और महसूस किया कि बटाविया स्टैड और बटाविया हेवन ने मुझे खरीदारी, इतिहास, प्रकृति, और शांति का एक अनूठा मिश्रण प्रदान किया।

On April 28, 2025, I had the privilege of visiting Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet and Bataviahaven in Lelystad, Netherlands. This journey was not just about shopping and sightseeing but a unique confluence of history, nature, and modernity. This charming corner of the Netherlands captivated me with its diversity and allure. In this article, I share a detailed account of my experience in English, so you can relive this journey with me.  

Journey to Lelystad  

My trip began in Amsterdam, approximately 45 minutes from Lelystad. I boarded a train from Amsterdam Central Station to Lelystad Centrum Station. Dutch trains are renowned for their punctuality and comfort, and this journey was no exception. Gazing out the window, I admired the flat, lush landscapes of Flevoland, a province reclaimed from the sea. The thought that I was traveling to land once part of the Zuiderzee was thrilling.  

Upon arriving at Lelystad Centrum Station, I took bus number 3, which dropped me directly at Batavia Stad. The short bus ride was comfortable, and soon, I stood at the entrance of Batavia Stad.  

Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet  

Batavia Stad, Netherlands’ first fashion outlet established in 2001, is located on the shores of Lake Markermeer in Flevopolder. As I entered, I was struck by its open, inviting layout. The streets and shops, inspired by traditional Dutch architecture, gave the place the feel of a quaint European village.  

The outlet boasts over 250 national and international brands, offering discounts of 30% to 70%. From fashion to jewelry, kitchenware, and lifestyle products, the variety was impressive. During my shopping, I paused at La Place restaurant for a coffee and a delicious Dutch pastry. The restaurant’s highlight was its stunning view of Lake Markermeer and the VOC (Dutch East India Company) ship *Batavia*.  

 Bataviahaven  

Adjacent to Batavia Stad lies Bataviahaven, one of the Netherlands’ newest and most modern harbors. Situated at the confluence of Lake Markermeer and Lake IJsselmeer, it’s a haven for sailing and water sports enthusiasts. Strolling along the harbor, I soaked in its tranquility and beauty.  

Bataviahaven is known for its modern amenities, including electricity and water supply, clean restrooms, and washing machines. It offers spacious berths for boats and is a popular destination for charter vessels. I was surprised to learn that the harbor welcomes thousands of passengers and hundreds of river cruise ships annually.  

The harbor is dotted with restaurants and cafes. I spent some time at TR3S Tapas Bar, savoring a variety of ice creams while gazing at the serene lake. The harbor’s lively yet welcoming atmosphere and fresh air provided a refreshing escape from urban life.  

 A Blend of History and Nature  

The area around Batavia Stad and Bataviahaven is rich with attractions, some of which I explored. First, I visited the Batavialand Museum, which brings Dutch maritime history and the Zuiderzee reclamation story to life. Here, I saw a replica of the 17th-century VOC ship *Batavia*, which sank during its maiden voyage in 1628. Walking through the ship, I felt the hardships of sailors from that era. The museum’s 7,000-year-old artifacts and interactive exhibits were enlightening.  

Next, I headed to the nearby Oostvaardersplassen Nature Reserve, Europe’s largest wetland area. Home to bison, wild horses, and various bird species in their natural habitat, the reserve’s lush landscapes and serene ambiance rejuvenated me.  

The names Batavia Stad and Bataviahaven are inspired by Batavia (now Jakarta, Indonesia), the capital of the Dutch East India Company. This area symbolizes the Netherlands’ maritime history and trading prowess. I was amazed to learn that Lelystad itself is a planned city, established in 1967 on land reclaimed from the sea. Everything here, from roads to the harbor, exemplifies human engineering in harmony with nature.  

Bataviahaven also hosts the annual *Hiswa te Water* water sports fair. Though I missed it, locals informed me that the 2025 edition, marking its 40th year, will showcase over 400 boats.  

 Reflections  

As the day drew to a close, I spent more time at Batavia Stad, where I bought a Dutch-style ceramic mug as a souvenir. Watching the sunset over Lake Markermeer was the highlight of my trip. The sun’s rays shimmered on the lake’s surface, and the silhouette of the *Batavia* ship in the distance told a timeless story.  

I took a bus back to Lelystad Centrum Station and a train to Almere. Reflecting on the day, I realized Batavia Stad and Bataviahaven offered a unique blend of shopping, history, nature, and tranquility.  

This visit will remain etched in my memory. It’s an ideal destination for those who love shopping, history, and nature. If you’re planning a trip to the Netherlands, make sure to include Lelystad’s charming corner in your itinerary. Every street, view, and experience here tells a new story.
