S. Pandian: एक गांधीवादी समाजसेवी, लेखक और प्रेरक व्यक्तित्व 

S. Pandian जी एक ऐसी शख्सियत हैं, जिन्होंने अपने जीवन को गांधीवादी मूल्यों, सामाजिक सेवा और भारतीय राष्ट्रीयता के प्रति समर्पित किया है। तमिलनाडु के इस प्रसिद्ध गांधीवादी, निःस्वार्थ सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता और कुशल लेखाकार ने अपने कार्यों और विचारों से समाज में एक अमिट छाप छोड़ी है। वे न केवल एक विद्वान, लेखक और कवि हैं, बल्कि एक प्रभावशाली वक्ता भी हैं, जिनकी वक्तृत्व शैली और तमिल साहित्य में योगदान ने उन्हें विशेष पहचान दिलाई है। उनके जीवन का हर पहलू प्रेरणा का स्रोत है, और उनकी सादगी, समर्पण और मानवीय मूल्यों के प्रति निष्ठा उन्हें एक सर्वप्रिय व्यक्तित्व बनाती है।

   S. Pandian जी का नाम निर्मला देशपांडे (जिन्हें प्यार से 'दीदी' कहा जाता था) के साथ उनके अनन्य सहयोग के लिए विशेष रूप से जाना जाता है। निर्मला जी, जो स्वयं एक प्रख्यात गांधीवादी और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता थीं, के साथ Pandian जी ने हरिजन सेवक संघ और अखिल भारत रचनात्मक समाज जैसे संगठनों के माध्यम से कई महत्वपूर्ण सामाजिक और राष्ट्रीय कार्यों में योगदान दिया। दिल्ली के पंडारा रोड और शाहजहां रोड स्थित हरिजन सेवक संघ के कार्यालय में Pandian जी से अनेक मुलाकातें हुईं, जो उनके व्यक्तित्व और कार्यों को समझने का अवसर प्रदान करती थीं। उनकी यह यात्रा 1986 में हरियाणा के पानीपत में आयोजित अखिल भारत रचनात्मक समाज के प्रांतीय अधिवेशन और शिमला में 'Friends of Soviet Union' के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन के दौरान भी देखने को मिली, जहां वे दीदी के साथ सक्रिय रूप से शामिल रहे।

Pandian जी का पानीपत में मेरे घर पर आगमन एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव रहा। उनकी सादगी और विचारों की गहराई ने सभी को प्रभावित किया। उनकी उपस्थिति हर बैठक और सम्मेलन में एक विशेष ऊर्जा और प्रेरणा लेकर आती थी।

   S. Pandian जी ने गांधीवादी मूल्यों को न केवल अपने जीवन में अपनाया, बल्कि उन्हें समाज के बीच फैलाने का भी कार्य किया। हरिजन सेवक संघ और अखिल भारत रचनात्मक समाज के मंचों पर उनकी सक्रियता और समर्पण ने सामाजिक सुधार और राष्ट्रीय एकता के लिए उनके योगदान को रेखांकित किया। उनके प्रिय शिष्य और सहयोगी श्री निवाशन जी और श्री पी. मारुति जी ने उनके आदर्शों और विचारों को आगे बढ़ाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। ये दोनों व्यक्तित्व Pandian जी के मार्गदर्शन में उनके कार्यों को नई ऊंचाइयों तक ले गए।

1993 में, गांधी संगठन के माध्यम से श्री पी. मारुति द्वारा चेन्नई से श्रीपेरंबदूर तक श्री राजीव गांधी की शहादत स्थल तक आयोजित साइकिल युवा यात्रा में Pandian जी की भागीदारी उल्लेखनीय रही। इस यात्रा में उन्होंने न केवल सक्रिय रूप से हिस्सा लिया, बल्कि निर्मला जी के भाषणों का तमिल भाषा में कुशल अनुवाद भी किया, जिससे उनके भाषाई कौशल और समर्पण का परिचय मिलता है। इसके अतिरिक्त, 2008 में निर्मला जी की पुण्य स्मृति में आयोजित यात्रा के दौरान मैं उनके मदुरै स्थित घर पर उनसे मिलने गया, जहां उनकी आत्मीयता और स्नेह ने मुझे गहरे तक प्रभावित किया।

   S. Pandian जी एक सिद्ध लेखाकार भी हैं, जिन्होंने अपनी इस प्रतिभा को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कई बार प्रदर्शित किया। उनकी लेखाकारी में निपुणता और पारदर्शिता उनके कार्यों में गांधीवादी सिद्धांतों के प्रति उनकी निष्ठा को दर्शाती है। उन्होंने अपनी इस क्षमता को सामाजिक संगठनों के प्रबंधन और वित्तीय पारदर्शिता को बढ़ाने में उपयोग किया, जिससे उनके संगठनों की विश्वसनीयता और प्रभाव में वृद्धि हुई।

   Pandian जी तमिल साहित्य के एक उत्कृष्ट विद्वान, लेखक और कवि हैं। उनकी रचनाएँ गहन चिंतन, सामाजिक जागरूकता और मानवीय मूल्यों से ओतप्रोत हैं। उनकी अनेक रचनाएँ 'नित्यनूतन' पत्रिका में प्रकाशित हुईं, जिन्हें पाठकों ने खूब सराहा। उनकी वक्तृत्व शैली इतनी प्रभावशाली और प्रेरक है कि वह श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध कर देती है। उनकी कविताएँ और लेखन सामाजिक परिवर्तन और राष्ट्रीय एकता के संदेश को प्रभावी ढंग से प्रस्तुत करते हैं।

   Pandian जी का व्यक्तित्व उनकी मानवीयता और स्नेह से परिपूर्ण है। यद्यपि वे हिंदी नहीं पढ़ सकते, फिर भी मेरे द्वारा भेजी गई 'नित्यनूतन' पत्रिका, किताबें और ब्लॉग को वे भावनात्मक रूप से सराहते थे। उनका कहना था, "मुझे तुम पर विश्वास है कि जो तुमने लिखा है, वह निश्चित रूप से अच्छा और गंभीर होगा।" यह विश्वास और स्नेह उनके व्यक्तित्व की गहराई को दर्शाता है। मेरे पति के प्रति उनका अथाह स्नेह हमेशा मेरे लिए एक प्रेरणा का स्रोत रहा।

    Pandian जी ने तमिलनाडु के महान नेता K. कामराज जैसे राष्ट्रीय व्यक्तित्वों के साथ काम किया और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय मूल्यों-मान्यताओं को अपने जीवन में जीवंत रखा। कामराज जैसे नेताओं के साथ उनके सहयोग ने उनके विचारों को और दृढ़ किया, और वे इन मूल्यों के प्रति अपनी निष्ठा को बनाए रखने में सफल रहे।

   Pandian जी की ऊर्जा और उत्साह उन्हें चिर युवा बनाता है। उनकी सक्रियता और समाज के प्रति समर्पण उनकी आयु को झुठलाता है। चाहे वह साइकिल यात्रा हो, सामाजिक सम्मेलन हो या साहित्यिक रचना, उनकी हर गतिविधि में एक युवा जोश और प्रेरणा दिखाई देती है।

   वर्तमान में Pandian जी चेन्नई में निवास करते हैं, जहां उनका घर मेरे लिए एक दूसरा आश्रय है। मेरी बहन सुधा मारुति और Pandian जी का घर चेन्नई में मेरे लिए दो परिवारों की तरह हैं। उनकी आत्मीयता और स्नेह ने चेन्नई को मेरे लिए और भी खास बना दिया है।

   S. Pandian जी जैसे महान व्यक्तित्व के लिए मैं शतायु की कामना करता हूँ। उनके दीर्घ, स्वस्थ और प्रेरक जीवन की प्रार्थना के साथ, मैं ऋग्वेद का एक मंत्र यहाँ प्रस्तुत करता हूँ, जो उनके दीर्घायु और कल्याण की कामना को व्यक्त करता है:

> **ॐ तच्चक्षुर्देवहितं पुरस्ताच्छुक्रमुच्चरत्।  

> पश्येम शरदः शतं जीवेम शरदः शतं।

*अर्थ*: हे परमेश्वर, वह तुम्हारा तेजस्वी नेत्र जो देवताओं के लिए हितकारी है, हमारे सामने प्रकट हो। हम सौ वर्ष तक देखें, सौ वर्ष तक जियें, सौ वर्ष तक सुनें, सौ वर्ष तक बोलें, और सौ वर्ष तक नीरोग रहें। इसके भी परे हम सौ वर्ष और जीवित रहें।

   S. Pandian जी एक ऐसे व्यक्तित्व हैं, जिन्होंने गांधीवादी आदर्शों, सामाजिक सेवा और साहित्यिक योगदान के माध्यम से समाज को समृद्ध किया है। उनकी सादगी, विद्वता और मानवीयता उन्हें एक प्रेरक व्यक्ति बनाती है। उनकी रचनाएँ, सामाजिक कार्य और नेतृत्व ने न केवल तमिलनाडु बल्कि पूरे भारत में लोगों को प्रेरित किया है। मैं उनके स्वस्थ और दीर्घ जीवन की कामना करता हूँ, और आशा करता हूँ कि उनकी प्रेरणा भविष्य की पीढ़ियों को भी मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करती रहेगी।

 S. Pandian: A Gandhian Social Worker, Writer, and Inspirational FigureS. Pandian is a remarkable personality who has dedicated his life to Gandhian values, social service, and Indian nationalism. Hailing from Tamil Nadu, this distinguished Gandhian, selfless social worker, and skilled accountant has left an indelible mark on society through his actions and ideals. He is not only a scholar, writer, and poet but also a powerful orator whose eloquence and contributions to Tamil literature have earned him widespread recognition. Every facet of his life serves as a source of inspiration, and his simplicity, dedication, and commitment to human values make him a universally admired figure.S. Pandian is particularly known for his close association with Nirmala Deshpande, affectionately called "Didi," a prominent Gandhian and social activist. Together, they worked tirelessly through organizations like the Harijan Sevak Sangh and Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj, contributing significantly to social and national causes. Numerous meetings with Pandian ji at the Harijan Sevak Sangh office on Pandara Road and Shahjahan Road in Delhi provided deep insights into his personality and work. His journey was also evident during the 1986 provincial conference of Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj in Panipat, Haryana, and the national conference of the 'Friends of Soviet Union' in Shimla, where he actively participated alongside Didi.Pandian ji’s visit to my home in Panipat remains an unforgettable experience. His simplicity and the depth of his thoughts left a lasting impression on everyone. His presence infused every meeting and conference with unique energy and inspiration.Pandian ji not only embraced Gandhian principles in his life but also worked to spread them in society. His active involvement and dedication on the platforms of Harijan Sevak Sangh and Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj underscored his contributions to social reform and national unity. His devoted disciples and collaborators, Shri Nivasan ji and Shri P. Maruti ji, played a significant role in carrying forward his ideals, taking his work to new heights under his guidance.In 1993, Pandian ji’s participation in a youth cycle rally organized by Shri P. Maruti under the Gandhi Organization, from Chennai to Sriperumbudur—the site of Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s martyrdom—was noteworthy. He not only actively participated but also skillfully translated Nirmala ji’s speeches into Tamil, showcasing his linguistic prowess and commitment. Additionally, in 2008, during a journey held in memory of Nirmala ji, I visited his home in Madurai, where his warmth and affection deeply touched me.As an accomplished accountant, Pandian ji demonstrated his expertise on several national platforms. His proficiency and transparency in accounting reflected his adherence to Gandhian principles. He utilized this talent to enhance the management and financial transparency of social organizations, thereby increasing their credibility and impact.Pandian ji is also an outstanding scholar, writer, and poet in Tamil literature. His works, imbued with profound thought, social awareness, and human values, have been widely published in the magazine Nityanutan and have received much appreciation. His oratory style is so impactful and inspiring that it captivates audiences. His poems and writings effectively convey messages of social change and national unity.Pandian ji’s personality is filled with humanity and warmth. Although he cannot read Hindi, he emotionally appreciated the Nityanutan magazine, books, and blogs I sent him, saying, “I trust that whatever you have written must be meaningful and profound.” This trust and affection reflect the depth of his character. His immense love for my husband has always been a source of inspiration for me.Pandian ji worked with great Tamil Nadu leaders like K. Kamaraj, embodying Indian national values in his life. His collaboration with such leaders strengthened his ideals, and he remained steadfast in his commitment to these values.Pandian ji’s energy and enthusiasm make him eternally youthful. His dedication and activism defy his age, whether it’s participating in cycle rallies, social conferences, or literary creations—each activity brims with youthful zeal and inspiration.Currently residing in Chennai, Pandian ji’s home is like a second haven for me. Alongside my sister Sudha Maruti, his home in Chennai feels like family, making the city even more special due to their warmth and affection.For a great soul like S. Pandian ji, I pray for a long and healthy life. With wishes for his continued inspiring journey, I offer a mantra from the Rigveda that expresses hopes for his longevity and well-being:**Om tacchakshur devahitam purastacchukram uccharat.
