Subject: Commemoration of the 97th Birth Anniversary of Pujya Bhai Ji Dr. S.N. Subba Rao – 7th February 2026

Dear Members of the Gandhi Global Family,
All Units, Branches, Associates, and Dedicated Workers,

With profound reverence and deep gratitude, we call upon every unit, branch, and member of the Gandhi Global Family across the country and beyond to wholeheartedly commemorate the 97th Birth Anniversary of our beloved Pujya Bhai Ji Dr. S.N. Subba Rao on Saturday, 7th February 2026.

Bhai Ji, a lifelong disciple of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals, was a towering Gandhian, freedom fighter, founder of the National Youth Project, fellow of the Gandhi Peace Foundation, and the guiding force behind the Mahatma Gandhi Sewa Ashram in Chambal Valley. Through his tireless efforts, he inspired lakhs of youth, transformed lives by rehabilitating hundreds of dacoits, promoted Shramdan, national integration, peace, non-violence, harmony, and selfless service to humanity. Affectionately called Bhai Ji by all, he exemplified the spirit of love, compassion, and constructive work, building bridges of unity in diversity and continuing Gandhiji’s mission in modern times.

This day is an occasion not merely to remember but to re-dedicate ourselves to the values he lived and preached: Truth, Ahimsa, Sarvodaya, Swadeshi, self-reliance, youth empowerment, and service to the poorest of the poor.

Suggested Programmes for Observance (to be organised at all units):

1. Morning Prayer / Bhajan Session: Start the day with collective prayer, Gandhian bhajans, and reading from Mahatma Gandhi’s writings or Bhai Ji’s inspiring messages.
2. Shramdan / Cleanliness Drive: Organise community service activities such as cleaning public spaces, tree plantation, or Swachhata Abhiyan in the spirit of Shramdan.
3. Tribute Meeting / Seminar: Hold a special meeting or webinar with speeches, personal remembrances, sharing of Bhai Ji’s life incidents, and discussions on applying his teachings today.
4. Youth Engagement: Conduct youth camps, integration activities, or motivational sessions for students and young members, echoing Bhai Ji’s lifelong commitment to youth.
5. Silent Tribute / Two-Minute Silence: Observe silence at a designated time (e.g., 10:00 AM) to pay homage to his noble life.
6. Distribution of Literature: Share pamphlets, booklets, or quotes from Bhai Ji’s life and works among participants.

All units are requested to organise suitable programmes befitting Bhai Ji’s legacy and send a brief report (along with photographs, if possible) to the Central Office by 15th February 2026 for compilation and sharing across the Family.

Let us make this anniversary a renewed resolve to carry forward Bhai Ji’s mission of building a peaceful, harmonious, and just society inspired by Gandhian principles.

“Let us be the change we wish to see – in the spirit of Bhai Ji.”

With warm regards and in the service of Gandhian ideals,

Ram Mohan Rai,
