Patricia Haveman – A Compassionate Ambassador of Gandhian Values

पैट्रीशिया हेवेमैन : गांधी विचारों की वैश्विक साधिका और मानवता की सच्ची सेविका

दुनिया में कुछ लोग ऐसे होते हैं जो अपने लिए नहीं, बल्कि दूसरों के जीवन में प्रकाश भरने के लिए जन्म लेते हैं। पैट्रीशिया हेवेमैन उन्हीं विरले व्यक्तित्वों में से एक हैं। वे उन लोगों की प्रतिनिधि हैं जिनके लिए मानवता की कोई सीमा, कोई भाषा और कोई राष्ट्र नहीं होता। उनका सम्पूर्ण जीवन करुणा, सेवा, मैत्री और मानवीय गरिमा को समर्पित है।

मुण्डो यौनिडो फाउंडेशन की संस्थापक के रूप में पैट्रीशिया ने 62 देशों की यात्राएँ कीं। इन यात्राओं ने उन्हें यह सिखाया कि संसार की सबसे बड़ी आवश्यकता प्रेम, करुणा और परस्पर सहयोग है। यही अनुभूति उनके जीवन का संकल्प बन गई। उन्होंने यूरोप, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, भारत, तिब्बत, पाकिस्तान तथा अनेक देशों में वंचित बच्चों, महिलाओं और असहाय समुदायों के बीच कार्य करते हुए हजारों लोगों के जीवन में आशा का दीप जलाया। लगभग 40 देशों में उनके प्रयासों ने युवाओं और सामाजिक संगठनों को मानवता की सेवा के लिए प्रेरित किया है।

नीदरलैंड में महात्मा गांधी और को समर्पित एक कार्यक्रम में उनसे हमारी पहली भेंट हुई। वे मंच पर नहीं, बल्कि सेवा के प्रत्येक कार्य में दिखाई दीं। उनकी सहजता, सादगी और मौन ने हमें अत्यंत प्रभावित किया। बाद में ज्ञात हुआ कि मंच पर श्रद्धांजलि के लिए रखा गया नेल्सन मंडेला का चित्र भी उनके प्रयासों से दक्षिण अफ्रीका के एक कलाकार द्वारा भेंट किया गया था। तभी हमें उनके व्यक्तित्व की गहराई और उनके वैश्विक कार्यों का वास्तविक परिचय मिला।

पैट्रीशिया महात्मा गांधी के सत्य, अहिंसा और सेवा के आदर्शों को अपने जीवन में उतारने वाली एक सच्ची साधिका हैं। वे परम पूज्य दलाई लामा के करुणा और विश्व-बंधुत्व के संदेश से भी गहराई से प्रेरित हैं। उनकी सहयोगी गेरब्रिग  के साथ मिलकर वे मानवता, शांति और मैत्री का एक सुंदर सेतु निर्मित कर रही हैं।

मेरी पत्नी श्रीमती कृष्णा कांता राय और मुझे उनसे मिलकर ऐसा अनुभव हुआ मानो वर्षों पुराना आत्मीय संबंध पुनः जीवित हो उठा हो। हमने उनसे गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली के साथ जुड़कर नीदरलैंड ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरे यूरोप में गांधीजी के सत्य, अहिंसा और विश्व-मैत्री के संदेश को आगे बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया। हमें विश्वास है कि श्री राम लखीना जी के मार्गदर्शन तथा पैट्रीशिया हेवेमैन और गेरब्रिग डेनियम जैसे समर्पित साथियों के सहयोग से यूरोप में गांधी विचारों का एक नया अध्याय प्रारम्भ होगा।

पैट्रीशिया हेवेमैन भारत की सच्ची मित्र, महात्मा गांधी की अनन्य प्रशंसक और मानवता की अथक सेविका हैं। उनका जीवन हमें यह विश्वास दिलाता है कि प्रेम, सेवा और करुणा ही वह शक्ति है जो संसार को जोड़ सकती है। ऐसे व्यक्तित्व वास्तव में किसी एक देश की नहीं, बल्कि सम्पूर्ण विश्व की धरोहर होते हैं।

Patricia Haveman – A Compassionate Ambassador of Gandhian Values

    Some people change the world not through loud words, but through quiet acts of love and service. Patricia Haveman, Founder of the Mundo Younido Foundation, is one such remarkable humanitarian. Having travelled through 62 countries, she dedicated her life to uplifting vulnerable children, women and marginalized communities across Europe, South Africa, India, Tibet, Pakistan and many other parts of the world.

    Through the Mundo Younido Foundation, Patricia has inspired thousands of young people and organizations, initiated humanitarian projects in nearly 40 countries, and promoted a world based on compassion, peace and human dignity. Her greatest joy lies in restoring hope, empowering communities and helping people become self-reliant.

   We had the privilege of meeting Patricia during a programme in the Netherlands honouring Mahatma Gandhi and . Her quiet presence, humility and dedication left a lasting impression on us. We soon realized that she is a sincere follower of Gandhian ideals, believing deeply in truth, non-violence and service to humanity. She is also inspired by the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

   Together with her close colleague, Gerbrig , Patricia has been tirelessly promoting peace, intercultural understanding and humanitarian cooperation. Their work beautifully complements the lifelong efforts of Shri Ram Lakhina, the "Gandhi of the Netherlands," in preserving and promoting Gandhian values.

My wife, Mrs. Krishna Kanta Rai, and I felt an immediate bond with Patricia. We invited her to join the mission of the Gandhi Global Family, and we sincerely hope that under her leadership Gandhian ideals will reach not only the Netherlands but all of Europe.

   Patricia Haveman is a true friend of India, a devoted admirer of Mahatma Gandhi, and a global ambassador of compassion. Her life reminds us that the noblest service is to stand beside those who need us most and to build a world where peace, friendship and human dignity prevail.
